Now it has been known that I am little biased towards wedding shoes because after all it is my own business. However I recently saw some photographs from couple who both had a pair of matching hand painted wedding Toms. I was literally blown away by the sheer happiness the photographs exuded. I wanted to be a guest at that wedding! Their smiles and the huge amount of love and support from their families lept out from the computer screen and in turn made me go all gooey and smiley as I clicked through them all.
I could harp on about how hand painted flat shoes are the way forward to having a comfortable wedding day but you know what? It's so much more than a pair of shoes. It's a theme that the bride is passionate about. In this particular couples instance it was a carnival theme. It's the excitement leading up to the wedding, the planning and making friends with wedding suppliers, the compiling of playlists, the flowers, whatever you choose it's going to be perfect because it's a reflection of you and your relationship. I get so swept up in a brides excitement when we talk about her shoes and how we are going to personalise them I feel part of the wedding even if I'm not going to be there. I suppose that's where my passion for the business comes from. I work hard paint the shoes perfectly, to get every last detail right and go above and beyond to ensure they are a reflection of their marriage because it's so important to them ergo it's important to me.
I am extremely lucky in meeting all the brides I have this year and hopefully contributed to some very happy feet as they walk down the aisle or dance the night away in their bespoke shoes; be they comfy flats or decadent high heels.
